1. Salvation Mountain, Niland, California

Looks like Salvation is found in a small town in California.

Into The Wild

After watching the movie 'Into The Wild', I guess it's about time I do just as Mr. Alexander Supertramp. Maybe not entirely into the 'wild' wild, I can start off with the urban wild.

I need to make a list of the places I wanna travel to. At least the not-so-common destinations.

Lines That Matter

It is true. The only lines that matter are the ones that we make. One of the most thought provoking ads.

I usually don't write about current events... but then, this time I have to.

Few months back, when young Aarushi was murdered, the police arrested her father, Dr. Talwar. And then a few days later, they claim that they got a confession out of him; he killed his own daughter. Now if that were true, the case should have been closed.

[Link 1 | Link 2]

Yesterday, the CBI have at last caught the real murderers [link]. And these guys have confessed to the crime. So then was it some ploy the police were playing with the general public and the media by stating that Dr. Talwar confessed to the murder? Can the police be ever trusted in our country since they are in the end to just save their own ass firstly?
It's been 2 years since the blasts. I guess I never spoke about the blasts before. Maybe it was because I was not there to experience it.

The truth is I would have been there in the midst of it, if it weren't for N. Otherwise, I would have been in Mumbai and maybe... just maybe.

3 in 2

Sometimes, I don't know how to react to this statistic - 3 in 2 or 25 out of 28.
It is supposed be 1 for Life.

PJs Ka Baap

One of the funniest ads I have seen recently.

Can men and women be just friends?!?

I know I wrote about this earlier... but then, after watching these two movies - the classic 'When Harry Met Sally' and the recent 'Jaane Tu...', the wheels on this have started turning again.

A guy and a girl who are the best of friends, who always wanna please each other, stand up for each other and blah blah; cannot remain friends. It just cannot happen.

Since the above is true (well, atleast according to me!), love gets built on this friendship. And usually, it ends up being quite strong. By QFD, the friendship leads to the love. It is like a 'layer' of love has been stuck on top of the friendship layer.

So, say, by some unfortunate chance, the love fails. What happens then? If we peel this layer of love off now, does that friendship still remain? I know that it would not.

So isn't it plainly ironic, that it takes friendship to build the love. And when the love goes, the friendship goes too.

So I agree with Harry. This guy and girl can never remain friends. 'Cos once love enters the picture, the friendship kinda ends. And so when that love exits, the friendship, which had ended earlier, never gets built again.
