Kaash Ye Pal

Kaash ye pal tham jaaye,
aur ye gham ghum jaaye...
Kaash is neend se hum jaag jaaye...
aur yaadon ke bheed mein woh pal kho jaaye.

Jab I Went

After watching Jab We Met again, and with Ratlam one of the places where Geet and Aditya get stranded, I realised I too was there and with such a crazy trip to tell.

12 Aug 05:
Gonna meet Keithda at Indore. Made sure am not gonna miss the train this time (had missed it the last time... the freakin bbay locals.. As I pulled into Borivali Station, there goes Avantika Express. Frick!)

So this time got the general class ticket and in time waiting for the train. And it comes with a crowd starting to stream in even before the train comes to a halt. Frick Frick Frick can't get in. And it pulls out. Me stranded once again. Well, I call Keithda and tell him I missed the train. I then run off to the Sukurwadi bus depot to see if there's a bus. No buses till next day evening. So I head back home and watch some tv and blame my cursed luck. K then calls later and tells me to check out trains to Nagda or Ujjain. I find out there's a train at 11pm frome Dadar and the time was already 10.15pm or so. I rush out again to see if I can catch a local to Dadar and realise it's not possible. So I catch an auto to Dadar. At Bandra, I realise autos can't enter Dadar. So I get a taxi from there and somehow reach Dadar... Only to realise that train was cancelled. Man, I head back home and check out when the next trains are to Indore or Nagda or Ratlam or Ujjain or whatever.

13 Aug 05:
So I wake up next day to catch a train going to Delhi. Thought this time, maybe I might be able to get in the general class. No chance. So I get in to the sleeper class with a GC ticket and sit next to the door; hoping that the TT will let it slip. As usual with my luck, he didn't. So I had to pay for the sleeper ticket. And realised this train does not go to Nagda. It goes to this place called Ratlam. And it was gonna reach there at 10 in the night. And I had to catch another local train from there to Indore.

So anyways, as if I had any choice, I go all the way to Ratlam. Get out there and wait for the local train to Indore. As it comes, it's all dark inside... to be precise, looks as if there's just a lantern lighting the whole compartment. What the fricking hell is this! And I had no idea when I'm gonna reach Indore.

For the first time in this whole trip, my luck sided with me and I reached Indore. At 2AM.

I sometimes think would I do something crazy like this again. And I think... Yes. That is who I am.

Looks like Salvation is found in a small town in California.

Into The Wild

After watching the movie 'Into The Wild', I guess it's about time I do just as Mr. Alexander Supertramp. Maybe not entirely into the 'wild' wild, I can start off with the urban wild.

I need to make a list of the places I wanna travel to. At least the not-so-common destinations.

Lines That Matter

It is true. The only lines that matter are the ones that we make. One of the most thought provoking ads.

I usually don't write about current events... but then, this time I have to.

Few months back, when young Aarushi was murdered, the police arrested her father, Dr. Talwar. And then a few days later, they claim that they got a confession out of him; he killed his own daughter. Now if that were true, the case should have been closed.

[Link 1 | Link 2]

Yesterday, the CBI have at last caught the real murderers [link]. And these guys have confessed to the crime. So then was it some ploy the police were playing with the general public and the media by stating that Dr. Talwar confessed to the murder? Can the police be ever trusted in our country since they are in the end to just save their own ass firstly?
It's been 2 years since the blasts. I guess I never spoke about the blasts before. Maybe it was because I was not there to experience it.

The truth is I would have been there in the midst of it, if it weren't for N. Otherwise, I would have been in Mumbai and maybe... just maybe.

3 in 2

Sometimes, I don't know how to react to this statistic - 3 in 2 or 25 out of 28.
It is supposed be 1 for Life.
