Arrey ruk ja re Bandeh!!
Today's been one of those where music has had an impact on my life (Note: There are many such days in my life though.)
I had gone for a Heritage walk, which was part of the Kalaghoda Arts Festival. The walk started from Regal Cinema to Maharashtra Police HQ to Merchant Chamber to Prince Wales Museum. After that, I went off to Azad Maidan. According to the paper, Indian Ocean and then Rabbi were supposed to perform there.
Well, I arrived way early so as to be right in the front. And it started.
Sushmit. Asheem. Rahul. And Amit.
The notes filled the air. Rahul's voice soaring over the Mumbai roads. And it all started.
Kandisa. Hile le. Maa Re Va. Jhini. Baram Baap Ke. Khajuraho. And Bandeh.
The lights. The sound. The music. I couldn't have asked for more. And then watching them and Rabbi jamming on Bulla Ki Jaana was much more.
It was "plainly one of those nights I just can't forget. Main tho wahan hi ruk gaya.
