Too Much Beauty?!?

The famous "American Beauty" plastic bag "speech" in the movie -

"It was one of those days when it's a minute away from snowing and there's this electricity in the air, you can almost hear it. And this bag was, like, dancing with me. Like a little kid begging me to play with it. For fifteen minutes. And that's the day I knew there was this entire life behind things, and... this incredibly benevolent force, that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid, ever. Video's a poor excuse, I know. But it helps me remember... and I need to remember... Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in."

When we are mindful and soak in the way things are naturally, we can experience similar magic in the most ordinary of otherwise unnoticed everyday phenomena. What is this benevolent force, if there is one? I choose to think it is our force of mindfulness itself, which urges us to be benevolent and to see things in a benevolent way. But is there so much beauty that we might not be able to stand it? I don't think so. We might be surprised, overwhelmed, but it is only when we crave for the beauty we see to last or increase that we "can't stand it."

Pleasantly surprised to check ur blog & find some more posts. I also happen to remember (after reading ur post) the video of the plastic bag against the red brick wall. Most of the times we move on through existence at such break neck speeds that we dont even notice the beauty around us & inside the hearts of people we come across. Then sometimes, we do notice them, but are too lazy or arrogant to appreciate it. Nice post!
